At the Spring-Summer 2020 fashion shows, most brands presented an incredible amount of things suitable for everyday life, not just for the runway. The brands showed how to wear wardrobe "main characters" in a new and interesting way: dresses, suits, bermuda, shirts, vests and corsets.

The main fashion innovation of this year is the return to feminine silhouettes. Instead of sports glamour and indiscriminate hobby streetwear comes emphasis on the waist and shoulders. Even hoodies and sweatshirts designers now advise to belt up.

In 2020 the designers are inspired by all the decades of the last century, but the 70's have become classics and have not gone out of style.

Victoria Beckham presented a more restrained interpretation of the 70s with feminine dresses, stylish turtleneck shirts and clamshell trousers. And at St Laurent's, we saw glamorous hippies in turbans and boho-chic dresses.

The pointy disco collars continue the trend of the '70s. They were seen in Paco Rabanne's spring collection combined with disco outfits. Louis Vuitton's sharpened collars were seen in a collection inspired by Belle Époque. In the Fendi collection, the large pointy collars were on half of all outfits in the collection.

Inspired by an era of romanticism, the pieces will be an integral part of the fashionistas wardrobe in 2020.
"Modest beauty in fashion: notice the dresses with long skirts and sleeves. The Victorian blouse, floral print, lace and delicate finishes will also dominate this year's collections," predicts Nordstrom's senior fashion director Shannon Schaefer.

This year's dress styles are unusually diverse, with straight silhouettes adjoining romantic feminine shapes, mini maxi shapes and closed models with very candid looks.
